About Amber
Hello, I'm Amber and I'm a recent graduate in International Business student. I have always loved STEM, being a very analytical thinker, and my goal is to help other students find this passion too. During my GCSEs, I kept up a good revision schedule and always attended extra sessions with my teachers for that increased level of support. I have lots of experience with working with children, completing work experience in both local and a French primary school. I have also previously worked as a math and English tutor for 4-14 year olds with Explore Learning. I believe this role gave me the skills needed to plan effective lessons and give constructive feedback to really push my students to their ultimate ability.

I like to structure my lessons by asking prior to the meeting if there are any areas that need to be targeted, this could be content that has proven difficult that week at school. I will then prepare lesson resources to help improve confidence in these areas. A resource I like to use is past exam questions. I think it is essential for students to test their knowledge using questions and then be corrected if they struggle with the concept. I want to provide a fun but effective learning environment for all of my students, allowing them to not be too scared to ask questions.
