About Kevin
I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2022 and am now preparing to attend graduate school next fall. I used to tutor for the SAT and AP Chemistry when I was in high school, and I was the one who edited most of my friends' Common App essays. I took many private lessons to prepare for chemistry at a competition level, and while preparing for the SAT, I also came across unique methods from other professionals.

For standardized exams I have taken (SAT, GMAT, GRE) I can offer general test-taking advice, but more importantly I can teach how to think about problems and why one is getting them wrong.
As far as lesson plans go, my belief is that doing more practice exams will get you to where you need to be. My role is to speed up that process and to help out where the student is stuck. I ask for the students to take their exams at home and to send them to me prior to the meeting so that I can prepare, and then review with them questions they do not understand. From this I aim to see if there are any particular areas where the student is weaker. At some point later on, I will work with them live during a mock exam.
I have had 2 types of students in the past - re-testers who wish to raise their scores by a large margin quickly, and those who are aiming to bridge the last hurdle to approach a perfect score.
