About Jessie

Hi! I’m a 23-year-old Chemistry graduate from the University of Leeds, and I’m passionate about Maths and Chemistry and helping others discover their confidence in these subjects. I’m friendly, approachable and enthusiastic, and I understand first-hand how challenging GCSE and A-Level revision can feel. Having recently been through the same exams myself, I can relate to the pressure of revision, difficult topics and wanting to achieve your best. I want to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace. I know how valuable it can be to have someone who explains things clearly and makes learning feel less daunting. I’d love to help students build their confidence, develop effective revision techniques and realise what they’re capable of, while hopefully making Maths and Chemistry a little more enjoyable along the way!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is to make Maths and Chemistry engaging, approachable and tailored to each student's needs. I believe in breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps, using clear explanations and working through practice questions together to build understanding and confidence. I would adapt each lesson to the student's ability, learning style and goals, whether they need help understanding difficult topics, preparing for exams or improving their grades. Lessons would typically last 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on the student's needs. Having achieved an A* in A-Level Maths and studied Chemistry to Master's level at the University of Leeds, I have a strong academic foundation in both subjects and a genuine passion for sharing my knowledge. I would be delighted to support secondary school and A-Level students in reaching their full potential.
