About Ricardo
My coding journey, which spans from my junior year of high school to my life as a university graduate, has taught me many things about being a professional, a scholar, and a software developer/computer scientist.
I graduated with honors from my university and have worked multiple internships, including spacecraft software, database research and a successful summer internship at Amazon, with a following full time offer from them.
I also have experience leading software engineering teams and teaching computer science topics, and with my varied experiences throughout university, I feel confident in my tutoring style and the expertise I now hope to share with my community!

My lessons are catered to the learning style of my students, but I believe in my university's motto: LEARN BY DOING. I believe that with coding you have to go beyond the theoretical lessons and apply it! This can include small exercises or medium/large resume building projects!
I believe in having a solid understanding of the basics and building off from there, so I emphasize that a lot.
Lastly, I push my students to be CURIOUS! Don't just accept what I tell you and research, think for yourself, and raise any concerns or questions you have. Having conversations about the topics and asking questions enhances your learning experience and I say that from my first hand experience working in industry and at university.
