About Ioana

One of my goals as your tutor is to inspire enthusiasm and a passion for playing guitar and/or bass as well as for anything music related! I will do what it takes to help you progress on your musical journey, such as providing supplementary tuition materials at no extra cost. Finally, I am very much keen to work to your needs and interests and guide you towards achieving your self-set goals.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is often very conversational, in order to help my students really engage in the lessons and to help ensure that they leave the lessons having learned something new and made some progress. I encourage them to ask questions whenever something is not clear; no questions are daft! My lessons often include fast-paced games/exercises that help students improve their aural skills (i.e chord and rhythms recognition) so that if they wish to learn songs by themselves, they can do so by ear, or as well as using tablature and notation.
While my teaching style is often conversational, I can easily adapt to more introverted students as well.
I teach one hour slots, and will divide those up in usually two or three sections; this allows me to ensure that the pace of the lesson is just right while also maintaining students' focus.
