About Teri

Folks often wander back to music after a long break, and I enjoy helping them map out the journey home. My time at the Metalworks Institute gave me a solid technical base, but I really found my voice helping others solve problems at a university help desk. I focus on fingerpicking, scales and modes, ear training, blues progressions, and barre chords to help you find your groove. I want the next hard thing you face on the fretboard to feel like a friendly neighbor instead of a mountain to climb.

About the lesson

Pacing remains the core of our hour together as I adjust the speed to match your current comfort level. Feedback flows constantly because I want you to hear exactly what is happening under your fingers as you play.

I share free chord charts and tab sheets after every class so you can keep practicing the specific patterns we discussed. My approach is rooted in the quiet patience I picked up during my own education and years of musical exploration.

Those early days of navigating complex arrangements taught me that steady progress outweighs frantic speed every single time. I aim to break down complex theory into small, manageable pieces that actually make sense for your hands.

We work backward from your specific goals to ensure every minute spent together serves your long-term musical growth. You will leave with a clear plan for your week ahead. Playing music should always be this accessible.
