About Andrew
Teaching feels less like a lecture and more like a conversation about what actually happens on stage. Truthfully, most people spend too much time on drills and not enough time on what makes a song feel alive. I have spent 13 years working through Nashville and Austin clubs where you quickly realize that theory only matters if it helps the music move. My background as a self-taught player means I focus on functional, real-world skills instead of dry academic habits.
I work with absolute beginners who need a solid foundation and working professionals who want to sharpen their live show. Whether you want to master lead guitar or finally understand blues progressions, we move at your speed. My experience covers everything from fingerpicking and power chords to reading sheet music and tabs. I want to help you build the confidence to stand in front of a crowd and perform without hesitation.

Getting through a full set without falling apart is the actual goal of our time together. Honestly, I find that many players ignore ear training until they are lost in the middle of a bridge. We connect your hands to your head by treating guitar and voice as one single instrument.
You will practice the same techniques I have used for over 2 decades to keep a room engaged. We will look at barre chords and rhythm patterns through the lens of a working musician. I look forward to helping you make your guitar playing sound like a finished song.
