About Genevieve
I am a guitar tutor with 6 years of experience and a Master of Music in Contemporary Guitar. Teaching has given me the opportunity to guide students through every stage of learning while sharing my passion for music and performance.
My teaching philosophy combines structured learning with creative exploration. I encourage students to build solid technical skills while discovering their own musical voice through regular practice and supportive guidance.
Outside teaching, I enjoy recording original music, performing live, and studying different guitar traditions. These experiences help me create engaging lessons that inspire confidence and long-term musical growth.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students enjoy music while developing strong technical foundations. We begin with posture, strumming patterns, chord shapes, rhythm practice, and finger coordination before moving toward complete songs and musical exercises. Every lesson encourages active participation and builds confidence through simple explanations and practical demonstrations.
As learners become more experienced, we work on fingerstyle techniques, lead guitar, scales, improvisation, musical phrasing, tone development, and performance preparation. Creative practice activities and personalized exercises help students improve accuracy while expressing their own musical ideas. Lessons are always adapted to individual learning styles and interests.
My aim is to help students become skilled and expressive guitar players who enjoy learning throughout their musical journey. Every lesson strengthens creativity, technique, and performance confidence in a positive environment.
