About Jay

I’m Jay Sambuco, a Berklee College of Music graduate and the guitarist of NXCRE / The Villains. Our music has surpassed 100 million streams, and our song “Usurper” charted on the Billboard Rock charts. I’ve toured across the United States and internationally, played major venues, and spent years writing, recording, and performing at a high level.
I bring that real-world experience into every lesson. I don’t just teach theory or basic chords — I help students develop actual technique, songwriting skills, and the kind of playing that sounds good on stage and in the studio. Whether you’re just starting or already intermediate and want to level up, lessons are fully customized to your goals.
I’ve lived the musician life: touring, releasing music, and constantly refining my craft. Now I help other players skip years of trial and error and get better faster.

About the lesson

I’m a Berklee College of Music graduate and the guitarist of NXCRE / The Villains, a band with over 100 million streams whose song “Usurper” charted on Billboard. I teach practical, real-world guitar — not rigid textbook methods. Lessons are fully customized whether you’re a complete beginner or an intermediate player looking to improve technique, solos, songwriting, and overall feel. We’ll focus on what actually makes you a better player. Online or in-person available.

He makes sure I learn at a good pace and doesn’t overwhelm me with too much information like other teachers do. Anyone aspiring to be a musician or looking to just get better at the guitar should take lessons with Jay. Also, I’ve never seen anyone shred up and down the neck of the guitar like Jay; he is amazing on the guitar!
