About Emily
"Starting out, I admit the first session can feel a bit overwhelming. We work on demystifying the fretboard right away.
Because I hold a BM Contemporary Music from AIM, I explain the theory behind every note we play. You will find that these 13 years of teaching make the complex ideas seem simple. We look at blues progressions to get your fingers moving across the strings.
I enjoy watching students finally capture the rhythm of a difficult passage. It is truly rewarding to see a student realize they can create their own solo. We keep the atmosphere light and focused on the joy of discovery."

"Electric technique and music theory are the foundations I build upon. I help students find clarity in their playing.
My approach centers on strumming patterns and acoustic technique. I guide self-taught players wanting structure through the basics. Intermediate learners often struggle with blues progressions and improvisation.
Soloing becomes accessible when broken down into manageable parts. I have spent 13 years refining these specific methods for my students. Working with kids requires a patient and steady hand.
My history in the Australian Latin music scene informs my technical perspective. Music is a lifelong pursuit that rewards consistent practice."
