About Vivienne
I am a guitar tutor with 6 years of experience and a PhD in Guitar Performance. Teaching allows me to share my passion for music while helping students discover that steady practice and positive guidance lead to lasting improvement.
My teaching style combines structured learning with creative exploration. I encourage students to understand music deeply while building confidence through practical experience and enjoyable lessons.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing original guitar music, collaborating with other musicians, and exploring different musical styles. These experiences help me bring fresh ideas into every lesson while inspiring students to continue growing as musicians.

My guitar lessons are planned to help students enjoy learning while developing reliable technical skills. We begin with posture, chord transitions, rhythm exercises, strumming patterns, finger coordination, and simple melodies that establish strong playing habits. Every lesson includes practical demonstrations and guided exercises that make learning enjoyable and easy to understand. Students are encouraged to progress with confidence through consistent practice.
As learners advance, we explore scales, fingerstyle playing, alternate picking, improvisation, barre chords, solo phrasing, tone shaping, and live performance preparation. Creative activities and personalized feedback help students improve musical expression while strengthening technical accuracy. Lessons are always adjusted to suit each learner's pace and goals.
My goal is to help students become confident guitar players who enjoy expressing themselves through music. Every lesson develops creativity, performance ability, and technical excellence in a friendly learning environment.
