About Keira
My passion for guitar began through listening to live performances and experimenting with melodies during my teenage years. This fascination encouraged me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, a Master’s Degree in Guitar Studies, and later a PhD in Instrumental Music Practice. Over the past 11 years, I have worked with students from different musical backgrounds while helping them strengthen technical skill and artistic confidence through supportive music education.
I believe music learning should feel inspiring, practical, and emotionally rewarding for every learner regardless of experience level. My teaching style focuses on patient instruction, practical playing, and expressive exploration that allow students to improve naturally while developing strong musical foundations. I encourage learners to ask questions openly and experiment creatively because confidence develops through active participation and consistent musical practice.
Outside teaching, I enjoy songwriting, recording acoustic sessions, and exploring different styles including folk, blues, and contemporary music. Staying creatively connected to music helps me bring fresh inspiration and artistic perspective into lessons regularly. Teaching guitar is deeply meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students discover confidence and individuality through music. My goal is always to support learners in becoming expressive, skilled, and passionate musicians.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students enjoy music while developing strong technical ability and creative confidence through supportive learning experiences. I teach chord transitions, rhythm control, fingerstyle techniques, improvisation, strumming patterns, and melodic phrasing in a relaxed environment where learners can improve comfortably at their own pace. Students learn how technical understanding supports expressive performance naturally through guided practice and musical exploration. Every lesson encourages patience, creativity, and steady artistic growth.
Lessons are personalized according to each student’s experience level and musical interests. Beginners focus on hand positioning, rhythm exercises, simple melodies, and chord progression practice, while advanced learners work on solo phrasing, advanced techniques, improvisation, and performance preparation. I include listening activities, guided repetition, and play-along exercises regularly because active participation strengthens understanding and confidence effectively. Students receive supportive feedback that helps them improve naturally without unnecessary pressure or discouragement.
I aim to create a calm atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves musically while building discipline and confidence naturally. Many learners initially struggle with coordination or performance anxiety, so I focus on achievable progress and encouraging support. Over time, students improve timing, musicality, and expressive ability naturally. Guitar becomes much more rewarding when learners discover their own sound and build meaningful connection with music and creativity.
