About Winona
First sessions usually start with an assessment of your current ear training and physical technique. I notice that most self-taught players struggle with efficiency, so we fix those habits immediately. Drawing on 13 years of experience, I provide a practice module with every lesson to keep your momentum high. We work through electric technique and songwriting exercises that reinforce your progress.
My LINC-affiliated background ensures that I am as methodical as I am encouraging. I look forward to hearing your progress as you become a more confident musician.

Music theory often feels intimidating until you realize it is just a language. My degree from Humber College taught me how to bridge the gap between abstract concepts and the physical act of playing.
I spent years mastering lead guitar and power chords while simultaneously teaching ESL, which gave me a unique perspective on how people learn new systems. I enjoy teaching students how to write songs and read sheet music.
It is rarely just about the notes on the page. I love when a student finally understands how strumming patterns dictate the mood of a track.
Helping someone shift from guesswork to a deliberate, methodical approach is my favorite part of the job. I find great satisfaction in seeing 256 students gain total control over their instrument. Playing guitar should feel like a natural extension of your own thoughts.
