About Zoya

I am a passionate guitar tutor with 6 years of teaching experience and a bachelor’s degree in music. My journey with the guitar began over a decade ago, and it quickly became more than a hobby—it became a lifelong pursuit. My background includes both formal training and real-world performance, giving me a well-rounded perspective that I bring into every lesson. Over the years, I’ve worked with students of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to intermediate players looking to refine their technique. I believe that learning the guitar should be both structured and enjoyable, so I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals—whether it's learning songs, understanding theory, or building original compositions. My approach balances discipline with creativity, ensuring steady growth without losing the joy of music. I specialise in various styles including acoustic, rock, pop, and blues, and I emphasise skills like chord transitions, rhythm, and lead guitar techniques. My own playing experience includes solo and band settings, songwriting, and recording, all of which enrich what I can share with my students. I aim to make each lesson a space for discovery, not just repetition. What drives me as a tutor is seeing students connect with music in a way that feels personal and empowering. I strive to create an environment that encourages questions, exploration, and confidence. I aim to build strong technique alongside musicality, helping students become not just players, but thoughtful and expressive musicians. Whether you’re preparing for a performance, composing your own songs, or learning for personal joy, each lesson is tailored to your interests and pace.
