About Jerry

I've taught at home, at Daddy's Junky Music in Peabody MA and also at The Music Place in North Reading MA. I've played as a solo singer/guitarist, in duos, original bands, cover bands and most recently in a large upscale wedding band. I've been a bassist in bands as well as a guitarist...and I've always been a singer. I've always been a songwriter too.

About the lesson

I see my job as inspiring and encouraging students to PLAY everyday because they want to. My experience is that interest is hurt by badger students to practice i.e. make it into work. I tailor what I teach and when I teach it based on your inclinations, aptitude and progress. Generally, I'll introduce into a lesson as much as I see that you can grasp and absorb. Maybe a part of a song, a scale, or knowledge of how to read TAB or traditional music. Then, you take over for a week and see what happens. If you're getting it, I'll run with that as long as I see progress. If I don't, we try something else. Your lessons will be from beginner to advanced. We can meet online or here at my home.
