About Maya

Music has been a big part of my life from a very young age and is an undeniable part of me. It has impacted me deeply, and I am passionate about connecting people to this powerful experience with and through music.

About the lesson

JOY
The most important thing for me is that you enjoy the process. Yes, sometimes it may be hard. Yes, sometimes it may be frustrating. But this is part of the journey as a whole.

FOCUS
My focus is you - together we will find the practices and exercises that fit best to your individual goals, level, personality and wishes. Everyone is different and therefore I like to keep an open and sensitive approach so that you can get the teaching and guidance that suits best to where you are on your musical journey.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Weather you are a beginner who wants to start with the basics of playing the instrument, or an advanced musician who wants to take their playing and music making to the next level, I believe that this is a place where you will be able to grow.

WHAT WILL WE LEARN?
Everything from the technicalities of the instrument to ear training, song learning, song analyzing, songwriting, improvisation and theory.
These are all options for us to choose from, based on your wants and needs - nothing here is a must.

Perfect! Maya is a very cool, kind and patient teacher. She’s doing a great job in individualizing the lessons according to skill level and personal goals. Also she’s very skilled in recognizing where practice is required, always making very helpful remarks and giving fun and useful exercises to practice at home. All in all lessons are really fun!

I have been learning with Maya for the past year and I can only recommend!
Her passion for music is coming through strongly and she is able to share it in a way that grows your interest and motivation. She gives a safe space for learning and takes you step by step in your pace, while still gently pushing you just enough over the edge for a challenge. She is the kind of teacher that wouldn't give you the answer immediately, but help you find it out with her, which gives you a deeper understanding and is just much more fun.
