About Sara
I am an experienced math tutor with around 3 years of tutoring and teaching experience, including online math tutoring, AVID tutoring, substitute teaching, and STEM instruction. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from UCLA and a Master of Liberal Arts in Finance from Harvard Extension School. I have worked with middle school, high school, and college-level students, helping them improve their understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and organized.

My lessons are patient, clear, and step-by-step. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind each problem, not just memorize formulas. I tutor algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, finance, and test preparation. During each lesson, I identify the student’s weak areas, explain concepts in simple language, work through examples together, and give strategies that help students become more confident and independent.
