About Laura
I have left the classroom setting of over 15 years to focus on 1-on-1 instruction to help students gain confidence in their skills and a passion for singing and performing! The majority of my time in schools was spent teaching 3rd grade, but I also taught elementary music, high school drama, and public speaking on the middle school and high school level. Outside of school I have sung in many choirs including the Colorado Symphony Chorus, performed in many musicals, prepared students for auditions and competition, and taught private and group voice lessons. I have raised four children of my own and can relate with students on many levels going through different phases and challenges.

My warm and energetic approach creates a fun and comfortable environment that students appreciate and enjoy. I am not a sit-back, I say-you do, sort of teacher. I jump right in, and demonstrate and perform the task at hand right along with my students. Whether it's singing along with them, or performing a duet acting piece for drama practice, they end up feeding off of my energy and looking forward to our next session.
