About Ajay

I am pursuing masters in English form Delhi university and used to be a topper in mathematics. I love doing maths so I could never abandon it. I have also taught physics and chemistry to 11th and 12th graders. I am perfectly capable of teaching in English medium although I wouldn't mind using Hindi medium as long as concepts are being cleared.

About the lesson

As an undergraduate in English literature from Delhi University, I have been a part of numerous debates and seminars where we discussed at length the various factors that affect the psychology of an individual and how they perform academically. For five years that I have been teaching, I have had all kinds of students; students who were remarkably intelligent but lacked the will to work hard and thus were underachievers, students who worked hard but were oblivious of the nuances one should be aware of to excel, students who were exceptionally good but lacked the knowledge of fundamentals of the subjects that they were putting in great efforts and thus had to work even harder than they were essentially required to. In all these cases, I realized that each of their problems that were clogging their route to success could be eliminated if dealt with in certain ways. So I devised a number of methods, worked out a few techniques and I was able to turn an average student into an excellent one. I have researched extensively, have read about techniques used by reputed teachers like Richard Feynman and others and I employ these techniques to make study easier for students. Moreover, I focus on clearing the concepts and for that, I make sure I myself do a lot of research before I teach a concept. I create an environment where students are able to ask as many questions about as many things that they would like to ask. My motive has always been to make students independent and I make sure that they learn their lessons properly. Time is never a constraint for me, I give as much time per student as he/she requires. Currently, I am teaching students of 11th class Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.

Moreover, I give separate training to prep pupils for examinations. I give lessons on how they can win over their fear of exams and provide useful tips to use while writing an exam. I follow a very practical approach and while I do not try to make the pupil uncomfortable, I do try to make them slowly and gradually come out of their comfort zone. I never punish anyone physically and rarely chide although I do use guilt as a control mechanism since it seems to work just fine. I am never burdened by the responsibility of fully taking care of a pupil's study.
