About Jacob
Physics is often misunderstood as a set of disconnected formulas, but it is really a framework for seeing the world. Walking through kinematics or thermodynamics requires a disciplined mind that connects the theory to the graph.
My background includes a Bachelor of Science in Math from Princeton and an MS in CS, which informs how I simplify complex physical systems. I have spent 11 years working in quantitative research, and I use that experience to show students how optics and graph interpretation actually function in the real world. My work with 128 students has taught me how to adjust my pace for both absolute beginners and advanced competition aspirants. Please reach out if you would like to explore the mechanics of the physical world with me.

Many students get lost when they try to memorize physics equations instead of understanding the underlying forces. I teach you how to translate a word problem into a visual diagram so the solution becomes obvious. We will cover everything from basic kinematics for board exams to complex olympiad level thermodynamics and optics. My sessions provide homework help for students who need to bridge the gap between their textbook and their exams.
We will focus on the quantitative relationships between variables to ensure you can solve any problem thrown at you. Working professionals often find these sessions helpful for refreshing their technical intuition for engineering tasks. Every lesson builds on the last to ensure you retain the core physical principles. We keep the focus on clarity and application throughout our time together.
