About Layla
"Stage lights were my classroom for 13 years across New York. I remember the humid air in small clubs while tuning my guitar before a set. That reality pushed me to earn my BFA in Contemporary Music Performance at USC Thornton. Now, I focus on scales, modes, acoustic technique, improvisation, soloing, tabs, ear training, power chords, and maintenance.
Theory is the framework that keeps your playing honest and grounded. I teach advanced learners, grade exam candidates, and working professionals the tools I used on the road. My 7 years of teaching experience allow me to simplify complex concepts into manageable steps.
I also play piano and sing, which helps me see the whole fretboard with better clarity. Do you want to bridge the gap between playing songs and understanding music?"
