About Charlotte
Adult learners often come to me feeling stuck in their progress. I focus on making the keyboard an extension of the songwriter persona.
Teaching 110 students has taught me exactly where hands get tired and where timing slips. My path from performer to piano coach was organic, born from accompanying my voice students. Now I work with intermediate and advanced learners who want to bridge the gap between playing chords and true musicianship. Jazz improvisation and music theory become much less intimidating when you learn them through song.

Starting our first session, we will look at your current posture and check those hand positions to ensure you are moving efficiently. I use the 9 years of my background to diagnose technical bottlenecks, whether that is hand independence or a struggle with sight playing. We tackle scales and arpeggios as essential tools for memorization techniques rather than chores. Lessons are structured to build rhythm and timing, keeping you sharp for ABRSM or Trinity grade exam prep.
You will find that regular ear training makes even the most complex pieces feel accessible. I really enjoy helping you develop your own keyboard voice.
