About Syuzanna
Hi! I'm Syuzanna, I am 22 years old and a recent graduate from the University of York with First Class Honours and currently work as a Head of Marketing for a local business. One of the reasons I'm passionate about tutoring is because academic success didn't come naturally to me at school. I've always had to work hard to achieve my goals, and I understand how frustrating it can be when a subject doesn't immediately click. Throughout my education, I worked with tutors who helped me improve my skills and realise what I was capable of achieving. Their support had a huge impact on me, and it's something I now hope to provide to others.
I believe every student can succeed with the right support and teaching style. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to develop skills that benefit them long after their exams are over.

My approach to tutoring is simple: every student is capable of improving when they are taught in a way that works for them. I know this because I've been in their position myself. Throughout education, I worked with tutors who helped me overcome academic challenges and build confidence to achieve results I was very proud of. Those experiences taught me that great tutoring isn't about memorising content but about helping unlock your greatest potential.
I recently graduated from the University of York with First Class Honours and currently work as a Head of Marketing, having spent more than five years building experience across business and marketing. This means I offer students something beyond the textbook: real-world insight into how the theories they are taught in the classroom are actually used by businesses every day.
Alongside my professional experience, I have worked at summer schools teaching and supporting children of different ages and abilities. I know the importance of patience, adaptability, and creating an environment where students feel truly comfortable asking questions and getting things wrong.
A typical lesson will begin with a quick discussion about what the student is currently studying, any areas they are finding difficult and what they would like to achieve. What is the end goal here. That's what we work towards, together. Once confidence has been built, I typically practise exam-style questions, focusing on how to apply knowledge effectively to maximise marks.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE, A-Level, IB and BTEC students and last as long as is needed for the student. I specialise in Business, Economics, English and Marketing for students seeking support with coursework, exams, university applications, or broader business and marketing knowledge.
