About Gianna
Throughout high school, and even now in college, a very large portion of my time was spent working with and tutoring my peers. I believe that a great way to test if you truly understand something is seeing whether or not you can confidently explain the concept out loud to another individual. This is simply being able to teach them the same material that you initially learned. I take my course work very seriously, and as a future educator, I would like to continue tutoring and learning better ways to teach others.

In most math classes, students are only taught one method of completing a problem with no explanation of why it works. I make sure to show students different ways to think about a problem, along with an explanation of why it works and a way to remember it. I believe it's important to work with the student's learning style to create a proper lesson plan, but I typically like to review notes, homework, or textbook problems. I would be open to tutoring any math classes from Algebra 1 through Calculus 1!
