I'm Maya, a Londoner who has lived in the Spain (Madrid and Granada) for the past three years. After completing my BA in Anthropology and Spanish (First class) I moved to Spain to teach English as a Foreign Language both to adult learners and children. I also worked as a nanny for a year to a pair of lovely twins.
Currently I work in a secondary school as a Learning Mentor with year 10. This is my second year in this amazing and fulfilling job. I run the school's KS3 and GCSE Spanish clubs, and also support SEN students. I have worked in different educational settings for the past four years, and I love teaching both group classes and 1-1 sessions, and really getting to know my students.
I support SEN students in English at the moment, meaning I have an excellent knowledge of the GCSE curriculum in English and also in Spanish. However, I am confident teaching all ages and levels, whether it be conversational, working towards an exam or grammar.
I am a part-time semi professional dancer and really into yoga in my spare time!
