About Whitney
I’ve always been obsessed with reading and writing poetry. I began reading on an 8th grade reading level while I was in the 3rd grade. I finished off in college passing with an A, and being able to transfer that English credit to other colleges. I have always loved poetry and combining words to express my feelings. Hi, I’m Whitney M, and I offer a more mindful, supportive approach to learning English.
I believe that language is more than just words—it’s a way to express who you are, your thoughts, your voice, and your story.
In my lessons, I create a calm, safe space where you can learn without pressure, fear, or judgment. We move at your pace, focusing not just on improvement, but on confidence and clarity.
Our sessions are centered around three areas:
First, reading and understanding—we gently build your comprehension, vocabulary, and pronunciation through meaningful texts.
Second, conversation and confidence—I guide you in speaking naturally, helping you feel more comfortable expressing yourself in real-life situations.
Third, writing and poetry—this is where you connect with your voice, learning to express your thoughts creatively and authentically.
My teaching style is patient, intuitive, and encouraging. I don’t just correct mistakes—I help you understand and grow from them in a way that feels empowering.
