About Anika
I am a current undergraduate student in the Honours Health Sciences Program at the University of Calgary. I am currently in my first year and am majoring in Bioinformatics (which is a cool combination of applied computer science and medical science!). In high school, I was an honour roll student for three consecutive years. I am also a national science fair champion! I love science and math and am excited to help you excel in these subject areas. These subjects are intimidating at first due to their heavy content, but with the right help, there is nothing stopping you from mastering them!

Learning does not mean memorizing. Learning, means approaching a problem from all angles. Digging deep. Finding answers and solutions that are not so easy to spot... at first glance. Learning means going the extra mile. This can be hard, especially if you haven't been trained to do so. I'm here to help. I love to teach content through doing. Practice, practice and practice is the only way to succeed in courses such as math and chemistry, which require a tremendous amount of attention to detail. I like to go over the basics of a concept and then attack both theory and calculation based practice problems. There's no other way to enhance learning. I also love giving weekly quizzes (just a few questions!). Think of it like a self-check, to see where you're at and what more, you need help with.
