About Crystal
Hi! I’m an experienced high school science teacher with a strong background in Chemistry and a passion for helping students finally feel confident in the subject.
I know Chemistry can feel overwhelming—especially when earlier concepts weren’t fully understood. My approach is to find those gaps, rebuild the foundation step by step, and help students develop the skills they need to solve problems on their own.
My goal is simple: to turn “I don’t get Chemistry” into “I understand this now.”

My lessons are structured but flexible, depending on each student’s needs. I begin by reviewing key concepts and identifying gaps in understanding, then move into guided instruction with step-by-step explanations. Students are given plenty of practice problems during the session so they can apply what they are learning in real time. I also encourage questions throughout the lesson to ensure full understanding before moving on. Each session ends with a quick review and strategies for continued practice outside of tutoring.
