About Harshil
I am a high school senior who will be attending Emory University as part of the class of 2030. I aspire to major in neuroscience and pursue a career in medicine. As a high schooler, I have taken and received 5's on AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, AP Statistics, AP Precalculus, and have taken Honors level courses on other math classes such as Algebra and Geometry. I took the Digital SAT and received a 1540 with a perfect score on the Math section. One of my biggest passions is research as I have conducted projects on Epilepsy throughout my high school career. I have worked with professors and PhD students from Yale University and the University of Iowa. In my free time, I love reading, watching movies, and working out. I want to be able to educate other high school students based on my experiences to help them have the easiest possible time with their studies.

I am a part-time educator with experience teaching health subjects to elementary and middle schoolers through workshops as a volunteering project. I have also conducted yoga classes for over a year for children in my neighborhood. I want to continue my teaching experience through tutoring. I have experience in various high school subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, Psychology, Statistics, and other AP level courses. I got a 1540 on the Digital SAT and can tutor SAT level Math and Reading. Teaching has always been more than a job for me — it’s a way to help students gain confidence in their thinking, understand the why behind what they learn, and realize that they are capable of far more than they expect. I’ve taught students with a wide range of learning styles and abilities, and I strongly believe that education should be flexible. I always adapt my lessons to meet each student where they are. I also value collaboration, often encouraging peer discussion and problem-solving to help students build confidence and communication skills. My Teaching Style & Methods My teaching approach focuses on clarity, structure, and connection. I break down complex topics into manageable steps and use real-world examples to make abstract concepts easier to understand. I myself am a visual learner so I love to draw diagrams to help make concepts much easier. Teaching also isn't only within the actual class but all the preparation measures I take. I make sure I get to know students before I even meet with them and thoroughly understand the specific topics they need help with to ensure I can properly accommodate my students. What Sets Me Apart What sets me apart is my ability to combine strong subject knowledge with patience and adaptability. I understand that students learn at different speeds, and I focus on building confidence alongside academic growth. I also emphasize critical thinking over memorization, helping students develop skills they can apply across subjects and in real life. My background across multiple disciplines allows me to connect ideas between math, science, and logic—helping students see the bigger picture rather than isolated topics. My lessons are ideal for: - Middle school and high school students - Students struggling in AP or Honors courses - Preparing for exams, coursework, or concept reinforcement - Students looking to improve SAT Math and Reading - Anything else: just message me on the subject you need and I would be happy to let you know if I can help you.
