About Elakya
With over 8 years of Carnatic music training I have experience helping younger students in their journey towards advanced Carnatic vocal music. Earning the AP Scholar award I have shown excellence in given college courses with scores of 5's and 4's. I have 3 years and over 300 hours of volunteer hours towards teaching Tamil at the Avvai Tamil Center.

My teaching begins with the basics and progresses based on students' comprehensibility of the subject. Carnatic singing - begin from first core beginner notes and exercises and soon move into easy geetams and eventually advanced varnams. AP Courses - will progress within units and test each unit for level of understanding. Tamil - Begin with vowels & consonants and soon move into word formation, reading, and understanding words.
