About Mateo

Hello! I’m Mateo! Born in Montreal, Quebec and proudly of African descent, I’m an international student who’s traveled across the globe, soaking up languages, cultures, and unforgettable experiences! These journeys have helped shape the way I connect with people—and now, I want to help you connect with the French language. Why Learn French with Me? Native French Speaker – I’ve spoken French all my life, so you’ll be learning from someone who actually lives and breathes the language. Top-Ranked – I earned an I-5 (the highest level!) on the AAPPL French writing assessment—proof that I know how to use French correctly and fluently. Currently Studying IB French A (SL) – I take my own education seriously, and I bring that same dedication to my students. Experienced Tutor – I started teaching math to my little siblings and eventually moved on to helping classmates understand tricky lessons. I even created full lesson plans for 6th graders in Robotics! Beginner Friendly & Patient – I specialize in beginner French, and I’ll never make you feel rushed or judged. I teach with patience, energy, and positivity! Fun & Personalized Lessons – I know how to keep things interesting, relevant, and tailored to you. Whether you’re studying for school, traveling, or just want to learn a new language, I’ve got your back! Message me today to book a session or ask questions! Let’s start your French journey together, and make it fun, easy, and unforgettable!
