About Sophie

I realised I wanted to teach the moment I stepped into a classroom for a placement. It was fun and I want to make science a likeable subject for students. I always struggled finding certain moments in my scientific career interesting and I don’t want that for the future generation.
I want to be able to show young people that science is really interesting despite it having such a hard curriculum.

About the lesson

I prefer to learn how the student finds it easiest to learn and adapt my teaching to their preferred needs. Lessons are however long the student needs, anything from 1 hour to 3. I can teach GCSE and A Level science. So ages from 11 to 18.

I have sufficient experience in tutoring family members and I once did a placement teaching extra curricular science alongside a levels. I am currently a science tutor at a school teaching from 11-16 year olds.
