About Finn
My name is Finn and I am a History Undergraduate student studying at Durham University. I am currently based in London but looking to provide online tutoring to children all over the country in order to help them with their English skills. I studied English Literature at A-Level, attaining an A* and achieving the maximum marks possible in every paper. I have been involved in teaching comprehension, reading and debating skills through my volunteering roles connected to my old school and am thus well-suited to being a tutor. My passion for the subject of English has led me to pursue tutoring so I can help others studying the subject come to enjoy and achieve success whilst studying English.

I will provide hour-long tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs and age of the tutee. In these sessions I will work closely to improve close reading and analysis skills, whilst also looking to improve the quality and clarity of the pupil's writing. Through a series of short exercises that resemble examination scenarios, I will work to prep the tutee for their future examinations, whether that be 11+, 13+, GCSEs or A-Levels. Beyond being an undergraduate student who achieved an A* at English A-Level, I have been long involved in Volunteering roles which have seen me teach underprivileged primary school students reading, comprehension and public speaking skills. My sessions can be altered and adjusted to suit children of all ages from 11+ to A-Level.
