My name is Katya Ogneva and I have 2 years of tutoring experience in the field of elementary school education. I specialize in Math, English and French, with a passion for helping kids of all ages succeed in school. As a high school student, I understand the student’s needs and strive to find the best approach to boosting their grades and confidence. I’m an interactive and supportive tutor, using visual aids and modern technology to ensure the student’s needs are met and that their learning experience is both fun and informative.

My teaching style is centred around private lessons with the student, giving me ample time to focus on their strengths and weaknesses. A typical lesson plan would include a conceptual lesson followed by demo questions and the student would procced to solve some problems on their own. This approach would give them their own grasp of the subject by furthering their understanding and comprehension. Thus, my approach sets me apart as a tutor, as I do not focus only on one's weaknesses but also adhere to improve strengths. As well, as a high school student I understand the curriculum requirements and I can thoroughly aid students and prepare them for the classes they plan on taking. Specifically, the difficulty of concepts can range from elementary to high school.
