About Andrew
A Diploma in Music Performance from Musicians Institute Hollywood serves as the foundation for my vocal teaching style. The smell of old piano felt and stage dust often brings me back to my earliest days of gigging.
My 11 years of experience in the industry have taught me how to balance technical accuracy with raw emotion. I have had the pleasure of supporting 253 students as they find their unique sound. Most of my work focuses on integrating your voice with guitar playing just like a singer-songwriter arrangement. Whether you are a hobbyist or a professional I keep the atmosphere playful and approachable throughout our time.
You might find that my hands-on method helps you overcome long-standing technical hurdles quite quickly. I hope that you will consider joining me for a session to explore what your voice can really do.

Starting with a slow warm up exercise often reveals exactly where your vocal tension resides during a performance. We then move into your personalized song list built around your specific range to ensure healthy singing. My teaching style involves lots of feedback on your diction and articulation during every single bar of music. You will learn to manage stage fear through practical microphone technique and consistent performance practice.
Harmony singing and belting technique form the core of our work on more complex arrangements. I focus on rhythm and phrasing because these elements define the personality of a singer.
If you are a self-taught player you will appreciate the structure I bring to your sight singing and exam preparation. My approach relies on the training I gained during my time at Musicians Institute Hollywood. I look forward to helping you find your own voice in a relaxed and supportive environment.
