About Shiv Arya

I am a motivated and approachable tutor with a strong interest in mathematics, science, and helping students build confidence in their learning. As a current senior high school student studying advanced mathematics and science subjects, I understand the challenges students face and aim to explain concepts in a clear, relatable, and patient way.

I am passionate about creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace. I focus on simplifying difficult concepts, improving problem-solving abilities, and helping students gain confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

Alongside academics, I have strong communication and organizational skills and enjoy working with people in collaborative and supportive environments. I am reliable, adaptable, and committed to helping students achieve their personal and academic goals.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring focuses on building both understanding and confidence. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

I adapt my teaching style to each student’s individual needs and learning pace. Rather than simply memorising formulas or answers, I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind concepts so they can apply their knowledge independently in exams and assessments.

In my classes, I usually begin by identifying areas the student finds challenging, then work through concepts step-by-step using clear explanations and worked examples. I encourage active participation by asking questions throughout the lesson and giving students opportunities to solve problems themselves with guidance when needed.

I also incorporate practice questions, exam-style problems, and revision techniques to strengthen both knowledge and problem-solving skills. For subjects such as mathematics and science, I emphasise breaking down complex problems into manageable steps to make difficult topics less overwhelming.

My goal as a tutor is not only to improve academic performance, but also to help students develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and effective study habits that will benefit them long-term.
