About Praise
Hello everyone,
My name is Praise Paidamoyo Furamera, and I hold a degree in Sociology and Development Studies from University of Johannesburg.
I am passionate about teaching because I enjoy helping others learn, grow, and reach their full potential. My studies gave me a strong understanding of people, communities, and the different challenges and opportunities that influence learning. This has helped me appreciate the importance of education in transforming lives and creating positive change.
I am particularly interested in teaching because I enjoy working with young people and supporting their academic, social, and personal development. Through my experience working with learners, including those with special educational needs, I have learned the value of patience, empathy, communication, and creating an inclusive learning environment where every student feels respected and encouraged.
My goal as a teacher is not only to help students achieve academic success but also to inspire confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. I look forward to learning from you as much as I hope you will learn from me, and I am excited to be part of your educational journey.

My degree in Sociology and Development Studies has equipped me with a deep understanding of human behavior, social dynamics, diversity, and community development. These skills help me create an inclusive classroom environment where learners from different backgrounds feel valued and supported. Through my studies, I developed strong communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills, which enable me to explain concepts clearly, understand learners’ individual needs, and adapt my teaching methods accordingly. The degree also gave me insight into social challenges that can affect education, allowing me to support learners holistically and contribute positively to their academic and personal growth.
