About Haroon
After spending more than 24 years in Dubai and 30 years of teaching experience, I have developed some valuable interpersonal skills which are an added advantage in the field of modern teaching. Being a part of this melting pot of cultures for so long and teaching students of more than 20 nationalities, I have made myself adequately skilled. I have always produced excellent results both in O level and in FBISE. I have hands-on experience in teaching in different academies. My experience includes Federal Board Secondary Education Pakistan and British curriculum [Edexcel Board]. My core skills include handling secondary classes for English language. I am responsible to maintain students discipline in the classes. Arranged regular meetings with parents to discuss the student’s academic progress and behavior. Have extensive experience in preparing lesson plans, worksheet, making PPT’s /Prezi Presentation, using Padlet /Classkick, preparing homework sheet.

Teaching methods: Planning for Diverse Learners and Philosophy Statement My teaching is grounded in concepts of student learning and development. My main goal in any teaching endeavor is to encourage the student to explore research and knowledge in order to incorporate it into their own professional point of view. In encouraging this process, I believe it is important to view the student-teacher relationship as one that is co-constructed. Part of this co-construction requires that I reflect on my own approach, style and biases in the learning process. It also requires that I recognize that students learn differently, have differing levels of learning abilities, and that my teaching must be sensitive to the individual needs of each student. In approaching my teaching, I attempt to accommodate the myriad of learning styles present in the classroom. I utilize a blend of approaches, including reading, writing, discussion, role play, reflection, and lecture. I view teaching as a performative act.
