About Kalyan
I am passionate about helping students discover that math can be both understandable and enjoyable. With a strong academic foundation as an IIT Delhi graduate, an MBA candidate, and a Math Olympiad achiever, I bring both depth of knowledge and proven problem-solving skills to my teaching. Over the years, I have guided students of different levels, from those building their basics to those aiming for top exam performance, by combining patience, clear explanations, and structured practice. My Teaching Methodology and Techniques
I believe math is best learned through conceptual clarity and problem-solving practice. I use a step-by-step approach where I first break down complex concepts into simple, understandable parts, and then reinforce them with real-world examples and practice problems. I encourage active participation, asking guiding questions instead of simply giving answers, so students develop confidence and analytical skills.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-up & Review (5–10 mins): Quick recap of the previous lesson to strengthen retention.
Concept Introduction (15–20 mins): Explanation of the new concept with clear examples and visual aids if needed.
Guided Practice (15–20 mins): Solve problems together, moving from simple to complex.
Independent Practice (10–15 mins): Student attempts problems while I provide support and feedback.
Summary & Homework (5 mins): Recap key takeaways and assign tailored practice exercises.
