About Aneesh
I wasn't always the student people expected to succeed. Back in Year 10, my grades were BAD. It took a proper wake up call to change how I worked. I built consistent habits, put in early mornings, and slowly turned things around until I finished my GCSEs with nine grade 9s.
That experience shaped how I tutor now. I know what it feels like to be behind and unsure how to catch up, which is exactly why I don't believe in naturally gifted students, only students who haven't found the right method yet. I went on to achieve A* in Maths, A in Further Maths and A in Economics at A-Level, and I'm starting Economics, Finance and Data Science at Imperial College London this October.
I tutor because I want to give other students the same turnaround I had, whether that's through subject teaching or through UCAS and personal statement support drawing on my own successful application. I care about understanding each student properly before jumping into a syllabus, and I genuinely enjoy watching that improvement happen.

I start every new student with a proper conversation before we open a single textbook.
What are you finding hard? What have you already tried? What are your aims?
My teaching leans on active methods rather than me talking at a student for an hour. That means past paper questions worked through together, me asking you to explain concepts back in your own words, and plenty of practice under timed conditions closer to the exam date.
I also bring in AI tools to generate fresh practice questions tailored to whatever topic a student is struggling with, so we're never stuck reusing the same handful of past papers.
Beyond subject tutoring, I offer full support with UCAS applications, personal statements and interview preparation, drawing on my own experience securing an unconditional offer for Economics, Finance and Data Science at Imperial College London. Lessons are typically an hour, adjusted based on age and level, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each student rather than just ticking through a syllabus.
