About Sakina

I am an MSC Astrophysics graduate from UCL and a BSc Physics graduate from Imperial College London., who has also worked in data for over three years. Prior to university, I achieved all A*s and As in my A Levels and GCSEs.

I have also been a tutor for over 10 years, consistently assisting students in reaching top grades in GCSE Maths & Sciences, as well as A Level Maths and Physics.

Fluent in Urdu in as well as English, I can also explain problems in Urdu/Hindi for those who struggle to fully understand English.

About the lesson

I have been tutoring Maths and Science up to GCSE/A Level since 2015 and have previously been a teacher at a Sunday school from 2012 to 2020, with experience teaching ages 7 to 14. I also have experience helping friends and family in both England and India with maths and physics homework problems and revision up to (and including) A levels, including setting my own problems to further their understanding and help them become thorough in answering questions related to the topic.

I like to get to know each student individually and tailor my tutoring methods to their needs. I allow students to voice their concerns and areas they would like to improve on and focus my efforts on helping them in these areas. I go over concepts which they don’t understand or need clarifying, help them with homework and set them problems and exam questions to improve exam technique.

I like to contact the student beforehand to know what they would like to cover in the next session and prepare for it accordingly. I have been tutoring online since 2020, and all of my regular tutees are now online students.
