About Wisdom

Hi! I’m a passionate student and English enthusiast who discovered that sometimes the subjects we think we dislike are simply the subjects we haven’t been allowed to enjoy yet.

Growing up, English came naturally to me. I was consistently at the top of my class without having to put in the same kind of effort I needed for other subjects. Ironically, despite being good at English, I eventually found myself disliking it. School often made the language feel rigid, with strict rules, formulae, structures, and endless guidelines telling me exactly how I was “supposed” to write and express myself. I knew how to get good marks, but I didn’t always feel like I was actually enjoying the language.

As I grew older, I began to realise something that completely changed the way I saw English: English is not nearly as rigid as school sometimes makes it seem.

Language is creativity. It is personality. It is storytelling, humour, emotion, persuasion, imagination, confidence, and self-expression. There is so much more to English than simply finding the “correct” answer. Once I learnt how to harness the language to express my own thoughts, personality, and entire being, English became one of my favourite subjects. And the best part? Enjoying it didn’t make my grades drop—it actually helped me improve them.

That experience is one of the biggest reasons I want to teach English.

I want my students to experience the side of English that I eventually discovered: the side that makes you excited to write a sentence because you know exactly what you want it to say, the satisfaction of finally understanding why something works, and the freedom of realising that your voice matters.

I’m not here to turn you into a walking grammar textbook. I want to help you understand the language well enough that you can make it your own.

My hope is that somewhere along the way, English stops being “just another subject” and becomes a subject you genuinely look forward to. And who knows? Maybe by the end, it might even become your favourite subject out of all of them.

English

My lessons are built around one simple idea: learning works better when you actually enjoy it.

As a student myself, I understand how difficult it can be to sit through a lesson filled with complicated explanations, unfamiliar terminology, and information that seems completely disconnected from real life. That is why my approach is different. I aim to make English and writing feel practical, relatable, and genuinely interesting rather than something you simply have to memorise for a test.

I use real-life examples, conversations, stories, humour, creative activities, and topics that students can actually connect with. Instead of just telling you the “correct” answer, I want you to understand WHY it is correct and how you can use that knowledge outside of our lessons.

I also believe that memory works best when learning is associated with something meaningful and enjoyable. If a lesson makes you laugh, think, create something, or reminds you of something from your own life, you are much more likely to remember what you learnt. My goal is therefore not to make you memorise English rules for an hour and forget them the moment the lesson ends. I want to help you build skills that stick.

And while AI can explain a grammar rule in seconds, it cannot replace a human teacher who listens to YOU, notices where YOU are struggling, adapts the lesson to YOUR learning style, and understands the difference between “I don't understand this” and “I understand it, but I need someone to explain it differently.”

That human connection is a huge part of my lessons.

Whether you need help with grammar, essay writing, creative writing, comprehension, vocabulary, reading, exam preparation, or simply becoming more confident with English, our lessons will be adapted to your individual needs.

You will not just be given answers. You will be encouraged to think, ask questions, experiment with words, make mistakes without embarrassment, and develop your own voice as a writer.

My goal is for you to leave every lesson thinking, “Ohhh… NOW I get it.”

Because English isn't just a subject to pass.

It is a skill you can use to express your ideas, tell your stories, communicate confidently, and make yourself understood.

Let's make learning something you actually look forward to.
