About Gabriel

When it was my turn of doing my GCSEs and A-levels, I sometimes struggled with the monotonous academic routine, day in and day out. Teachers that did not bother connecting and engaging with their students, overly complicated lesson plans, poorly explained exercises. Therefore, after completing my BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering degree with a 1st Class, I decided to assist students, who like myself, struggled with their courses during A-level and GCSE, especially with Mathematics and Physics. I have been tutoring since my teenage years, most recently have been providing assistance teaching and advising students at my university's laboratory as a Research Assistant. In my free time I tutor teenagers in their GCSEs and A-levels, slowly rebuilding their confidence in two of the most challenging academic subjects there are.

About the lesson

It is a teacher's job to captivate their students' attention and adapt their methods to different learners. My focus is to provide support and innovative lessons, breaking the barriers built up in the student's mind. I tend to tackle doubts and difficulties with a practical approach, applying theorems and problems to real-world scenarios, solving questions to emphasise the application of Mathematics and Physics to our day-to-day lives. My objective is to help rebuild confidence and self-teaching abilities, eventually making my students independent and not require further tutoring.
