About Aimee
I am a passionate flute tutor with 14 years of experience and a proven record of teaching over 150 students successfully. My approach balances technical skill-building—breath control, tone, finger technique, and rhythm—with creative exercises such as improvisation and expressive musical performance.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s learning style and goals, making learning effective and enjoyable. I also provide instruction in sight-reading, music theory, and ensemble work to give students a comprehensive musical foundation. My goal is to cultivate confident, expressive, and motivated flautists who love playing music.

My flute teaching methodology focuses on creating a personalised, flexible, and engaging learning experience. I start by understanding each student’s learning style—visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic—and tailor lessons to match their pace and strengths. This ensures that every session is productive, enjoyable, and inspiring.
Flexibility is central to my approach. I adapt exercises, repertoire, and practice routines according to the student’s goals, interests, and progress. Collaboration is encouraged through duets, ensemble sessions, and group exercises that strengthen confidence, timing, and musical communication. Positivity forms the foundation of every lesson, fostering a supportive environment where students feel empowered to explore, take risks, and celebrate progress.
Alongside flute instruction, I include music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This holistic methodology balances technical proficiency with creative expression, helping students grow into confident, expressive, and versatile musicians.
