Across seventeen years of intense coaching I have trained 875 students, many pursuing serious technical mastery or preparing for demanding professional level playing standards under my guidance. My own training was intense and unforgiving, and I firmly believe that relentless focus, not casual enjoyment, is what actually produces real, lasting musical excellence over time. I am demanding and direct in every piece of feedback I give, because comfortable vagueness has never once built genuine mastery in a serious student. Students who thrive with me want honest, precise correction, not gentle validation that avoids addressing real weaknesses directly.

My guitar lessons are built on intensity, not comfort, since I have found that genuine mastery requires relentless, focused effort rather than casual, occasional practice fit around other priorities. Every session opens with a demanding technical assessment, comparing this week's recorded practice against last week's benchmark with no room for excuses about lack of time. I correct immediately and without softening the delivery when technique falls short, since a serious student needs precise, honest information rather than comfortable reassurance about progress. Practice targets are specific, ambitious, and reviewed weekly without exception, holding a student firmly accountable to commitments they made themselves at the outset.
