About Gabriele

Hi! My name is Gabriele Lumachi. I'm an Italian International Master with a FIDE rating of 2430 and I'm 22 years old. I achived the FIDE Master title in 2018 and the Internationl Master title in 2025. I won the Italian U16 and U20 championship in 2019 and the U20 championship in 2022. In 2023 and 2025 I played for the national team when we participated in the Mitropa Cup in Mali Losinj (Croatia) and Trencin (Slovakia).
During my chess career, I've always studied with passion and professionalism to achieve my goals.
I've been playing rated tournaments since 2013 and have gained an excellent understanding of the chess world, especially in the last 10 years.
I've played and talked with players of all levels and different nationalities, and I got a very good knowledge about training methods and drew my personal conclusions from it.

About the lesson

I will provide you with a complete guide to improve your game and avoid the most common mistakes that really slow down your growth process. During the lessons we will focus more on the strategic part of the game, as this is the only aspect that is very difficult to learn on your own.
My approach is based on playing 1.d4 with the white pieces and a number of different openings with the black pieces.
All material, such as opening files or calculation exercises, is included in the price of the lesson.
When you contact me, tell me something about your chess background (your level, your experience, your favorite openings) and your goals so that I can better adapt my approach to your needs.
