About Jessica
Hi! I'm Jessica, a passionate mathematics and STEM enthusiast who enjoys helping students develop confidence, curiosity and a genuine understanding of their subjects.
As the Student Head of Mathematics at my school, I have been actively involved in promoting mathematical engagement, encouraging younger students to explore challenging problems and making mathematics more accessible and enjoyable.
Having personally prepared for demanding examinations and mathematics competitions, including the UKMT Mathematical Challenges and TMUA, I understand the challenges students face, from mastering unfamiliar concepts to developing effective problem-solving strategies under time pressure.
I believe that mathematics is much more than memorising formulae or following fixed procedures. It is about developing logical thinking, creativity and the confidence to approach unfamiliar questions. My goal is not only to help students improve their examination performance, but also to encourage them to enjoy learning and discover their own potential.
As a current A-Level student, I can relate closely to the academic pressures and difficulties that students experience. I aim to create a friendly, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and exploring different approaches.

Interactive lessons aiming to find the best approach for each student to solve questions accurately and confidently. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching methods to individual strengths, weaknesses and learning styles.
My lessons focus on developing a deep understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts rather than simply memorising formulae. I encourage students to think independently, explore alternative methods and build strong problem-solving skills through guided examples, interactive discussions and targeted practice questions. For exam preparation, I also emphasise effective exam techniques, logical reasoning and time management.

GCSE: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science
A-Level: Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Computer Science
Mathematics competitions: UKMT Junior, Intermediate and Senior Mathematical Challenges, as well as TMUA preparation
As a Student Head of Mathematics with experience in mathematical competitions and advanced problem-solving, I am particularly passionate about helping students discover the creativity and logic behind mathematics.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although the duration and content can be adjusted according to each student's needs. I welcome students of different abilities, whether they are looking to strengthen their foundations, achieve top examination grades or challenge themselves with mathematics beyond the school curriculum.
