About Joe
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching privately for nearly ten years, as well as mentoring less experienced students since I was at school. While at college I undertook teaching modules aimed at teaching me how to teach effectively. As well as this I have experience of leading workshops with children of primary school and secondary school ages and I have run workshops at the Leeds College of Music Saturday Music School.
I now teach privately all across West Yorkshire, as well as working for Brighouse Central Music Academy.

I have enhanced DBS disclosure (2017) and a certificate in safeguarding.

Welcome to my page! I am a trumpet player, songwriter and teacher, graduate of Leeds College of Music.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Music theory, composition, songwriting.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BA (Hons) Music from Leeds College of Music and I also have Grade 8 trumpet.
- How much do you charge?
£30 per hour, £15 half hour.
- Where do you teach?
I can teach at the students house or I have space at my house in Skipton.
- When are you available?
I'm flexible and can find a time that suits us both. Best bet is to contact and find out!
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach any age and any level, from beginners to grade 8 and beyond.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Any of the ABRSM grades or similar exam board.
