About Fabian
I am a recent college graduate from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Some background regarding my test scores include a 1510 on the SAT and 518 on the MCAT.
Currently on a pre-medical path, I am using the upcoming year to apply to medical schools while currently holding a part time position as a medical scribe.
I have thoroughly enjoyed tutoring and mentoring students including individual, group, and classroom settings. Very diligent in my studies, I've found that the work I have put into learning content results in effortless and fun tutoring sessions.
Also, I've been able to harness my ability to connect with others in my tutoring sessions, allowing me to inspire and form friendships with many of my past tutees.
I'm also a long-time cellist, fine tuning my skills over the past ten years!

I have had experience teaching students in variety of subjects at Johns Hopkins University in 1-on-1 and group settings including Physics 1 and 2, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and some Math. However, I'm well-versed with Biology.
My lessons usually involve clarifying concepts with students before delving into guided practice problems. Approaching concepts from multiple angles really has helped bolster my students' understanding: engaging in conversations about the material, having them guide me through a problem, or showing them an example or two.
I firmly believe in the importance of establishing a safe space for tutoring sessions, allowing questions without judgement to flow and true understanding to flood through! My most productive sessions were those where I had formed friends with my tutees.
While I've had the most experience tutoring at the college level, I would love to tutor high school and late middle school students.
