About Smita
Hi, I'm Smita, a zoology and Biotechnology graduate from St. Joseph's University, Bangalore. I've always believed that being informed and curious about the world is one of the coolest things a person can be — and I try to pass that same love of learning on to my students.
I teach biology, zoology, and biotechnology to primary and secondary students, focusing on clear, simple explanations rather than rote learning. While I follow the school syllabus, I also love sharing fun facts along the way to keep learning exciting and broaden general knowledge.

My approach to teaching biology is about making concepts easy to visualize and relate to everyday life, not just memorizing definitions. As a Zoology and Biotechnology graduate from St. Joseph's University, Bangalore, I bring genuine curiosity into every class.
I use diagrams, real-life examples, and simple analogies to break down complex topics and encourage students to ask "why" instead of just "what" — biology makes more sense once you understand the reasoning, not just the steps.
Each session starts with a quick recap or doubt-clearing, moves into the main concept with explanation and diagrams, and ends with practice questions or a short quiz to build application skills.
I don't stick strictly to the syllabus; I love dropping in fun facts and trivia to broaden kids' general knowledge and keep them curious, not just exam-ready. Being part-time lets me genuinely adapt to how each student learns, in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment.
I currently teach primary and secondary school students, building a strong foundation in biology, zoology, and basic biotechnology — whether for schoolwork, exams, or pure curiosity about the living world.
